Peru Earthquake News!

BREAKING NEWS – A 5.9 earthquake has hit Peru, close to Juliaca, Peru and La Paz Bolivia. The Peru Earthquake of today September 30, 2009 comes after another 6.0 on February 9, 2009. Today’s quake happened at 7:03 pm local time, only a mere 5 miles below the earth’s surface.
The quake was roughly 570 miles form Lima and 100 miles from La Paz.
In February 9, 2009 Northern Peru got hit by a 6.0 earthquake. Here are maps from the February quake.

On Tuesday, a 7.9 earthquake hit American Samoa Tuesday prompting an issued tsunami warning for American Samoa, Samoa, Cook Islands, Tonga, Fiji, and select other regions. Then a 10 foot tall tsunami was spotted and recorded. The number was then readjusted to upwards of 15 to 20 feet. 83 people are believed dead from the American Samoa aftermath.
