UPDATE – Here is a third update on the Tim Tebow concussion injury plus YouTube video of Tebow’s injury getting hurt and knocked out Saturday against Kentucky. Tebow’s injury resulted in his hospitalization overnight. Finally Sunday afternoon, Tebow was discharged. Tim is now back home resting.

Gators coach Urban Meyer told press late Sunday:

“Tim is doing fine this morning. His CT scans came back and indicated that Tim suffered a concussion. Our medical and athletic training staff will continue to monitor him to determine how much rest and recovery he needs. We will have additional information and updates this week.”

Urban Meyer had said in a post game press conference that he suspected a concussion for Tebow. Tebow after being taken to UK Medical Center was improving, coherent, talking and laughing.

The impact occurred as Kentucky’s Taylor Wyndham came at Tebow. That caused Tebow to hit the leg of teammate Marcus Gilbert. Following the hit, Tebow was knocked out for a few minutes. His parents rushed to the field. Thereafter, Tebow was able to walk off the field but reportedly was vomiting.

Until then, Tebow had delivered 103 yards of passing, with 1 TD, and 5 for 10; he ran 123 yards and earned two TDs.

Others have also been critical of Gators information released about Tebow’s health before the game. Meyer wouldn’t comment what Tebow’s illness was. Moreover, the Gators have maintained that none of their 30 players with flu have swine flu, despite press reports that 97% of UF cases are in fact swine flu cases.
