Joseph Dado – Joe Dado Penn State Dead

While the search for Joseph Dado has ended, the search for answers in Joe Dado’s death has not. Penn State Joe Dado was found dead Monday as reported earlier on LALATE.
But investigators say they are far from ending their investigation, the shocking death of an 18 year old freshman engineering student just days into his first college school year.
A story not unique to any campus, tonight it’s captivating a nation for both students and their parents.
On Monday morning, LALATE began to run the first details of the search for Joe Dado. Immediately, Joe Dado’s fact pattern sounded exceptionally troubling. An 18 year old student missing, having left a frat party alone at 3 am just days into his first year of college. Today, images on the school’s student paper The Daily Collegian shows a banner hanging from outside a fraternity that reads “Rush Fiji” as one frat visitor sits in an open window. The photo’s caption reads:
Members of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity watch from a window as investigators search the property for missing Penn State student Jospeh Dad who disappeared Sunday morning.
Dado had begun Saturday night with friends at Alpha Tao Omega fraternity, 321 E. Fairmount Ave.. The group then reportedly to the Fiji fraternity (Phi Gamma Delta) on 319 N. Burrowes Road, around 1:15 a.m. Sunday. Reports say Dado left the frat alone at 3 am.
Dado would never get home safely. The 18 year old from Unity Township was not answering his phone, had not gotten home safely.
By Monday, a Pennsylvania State Police helicopter, a manhole search, and search and rescue dogs outside the frat all collectively could not find Dado. At the same time, maintenance workers began to repair a broken pipe inside a campus building. At 6 pm Monday evening, in a stairwell between Steidle Building and Hosler Building, they reportedly made the discovery. Dado had fallen onto concert 15 feet from above. Steve Shelow, university police director, issued the following statement late Monday:
“At this point, there’s no reason to suspect foul play. This appears to be an accidental fall, but our investigation will, of course, continue as we go over the evidence at the scene.”
Funeral arrangements have not been announced. Send your love.
