Gods Desire aka God’s Desire is Phillip Garrido’s reported “Church” attempt. Phillip Garrido registered Gods Desire as a California Corporation in 2008, as broke earlier on LALATE, and kept it active.

But there was more with Gods Desire than just a business entity. Reports from persons who knew Phillip Garrido say he spoke about God alot in recent years. Moreover, they say Phillip Garrido wanted to become a preacher, giving up his career as a printer to become a religious leader.

Tim Allen knew Garrido for a decade. For his glass and windows company, Allen bought business cards from Garrido. He says Garrido was always “kind of nutty”.

Kind of?

“In the last couple years he started getting into this strange religious stuff. We kind of felt sorry for him. He rambled. It made no sense….  We never thought anything bad about the guy … He was just kind of nutty.”

On his blog, Voices Revealed, Phillip Garrido announced the website launch of GodsDesire.net on August 1. The website is still parked with no content:

Here is the address Phillip Garrido uses for Gods Desire in ANTIOCH, CA. Phillip Garrido’s address for Gods Desire (aka God’s Desire) appears for public view on the California Secretary of State’s website.

Gods Desire was registered as a California Corporation by Phillip Garrido in 2008, and is still active.

As LALATE broke earlier today, Jaycee Lee Dugard was reportedly abducted by Phillip Garrido and wife Nancy Garrido. Dugard was 11 at the time. In update, police believe the two children with Dugard and the Garridos were born by Dugard with Garrido.

In a rambling phone interview to KCRA-TV Thursday, Phillip Garrido say he has not confessed to the kidnapping.

“Wait until you hear the story of what took place at this house. You are going to be completely impressed. It’s a disgusting thing that took place with me at the beginning. But I turned my life completely around and to be able to understand that, you have to start there.”

Here are new evacuations on the Rancho Palos Verdes Fire of 2009 tonight. The Rancho Palos Verdes Fire is near Trump National Golf Course, started at 8:30 pm as a one alarm blaze, reaching three alarm blaze status in just 30 minutes.

Six homes are lost, the Rancho Palos Verdes Fire’s initial core is Ocean Trails Drive at Palos Verdes Drive, close to Trump National Golf Club.

75 acres have burned. As of 10:45 pm PST, conditions are dry, winds are low.

Mandatory Evacuation have been issued for areas of

• Amber Sky
• Crest Road

Thursday night a fire has erupted in Hemet near Idyllwild. The Hemet Idyllwild Fire is 10 miles east of Hemet on Route 74. Idyllwild Arts Academy’s proximity to the fire is unknown.

Here is the latest.

The Henmet Fire broke out at 5:13 pm. Initial reports deemed the fire not significant. But by 10:30 pm, that has been changed. 600 acres have been burned near Idyllwild, the fire is uncontained, and voluntary evacuations are in effect.
