Miss Universe started moments ago at The Islands in the Bahamas with hosts Billy Bush and Claudia Jordan. 83 contestants were reduced to 15. It’s 83 not 84 because Jewel Selver from Turks & Caicos withdrew on August 22, 2009 citing dehydration.

Im not wowed with the result. There are candidates who are deserved to be placed in top 15 finalist. Its unfairs decision.

just as i expected. oh well, i was hoping against hope that a prestigious pageant like this would somehow improve a bit and really consider the qualifications of the candidates. but as it turned out, racial discrimination is so glaring that it really disappoints the hell out of me.

The chosen top 15 were the most beautiful. And the winner is so beautiful. Had class, attitude and a body to boot. No ones against asians. They just weren’t as beautiful. One just has to be authentic enought to win. And the winner was. Congratulations to Miss Australia (who fully deserved to win. And the other runners up. miss Puerto Rico was beautiful too.

What the heck! Why there was no even one asian in the top 15? Was there any asian judge among the panel of the judges that night?

Miss Indonesia, Miss Philippines, Miss Japan and Miss Vietnam should be in the top 15!!! What a disappointing selection by the judges this year!!! Not fair and square…why?!! Please chose non-biased judges!!! Pick judges–one each per continent or region to comprise the panel of judges!!!
