David Copperfield says a new lawsuit against him by a woman is an act of extortion. The woman claims her visit to Copperfield’s Musha Cay Bahamian retreat resulted in her alleged harm.

The woman’s name is yet revealed.

David Cooperfield says the lawsuit is extortion issuing the following statement:

“Nothing of the sort ever happened. This lawsuit is extortion for money, plain and simple. Unfortunately, false claims like this only hurt the women who really have been abused, women who really need our help.”

The Musha Cay Bahamian retreat where the alleged events unfolded is said to be reportedly worth in excess of $50 million. The woman has yet to release a statement in response.
