Kandi’s Bravo bio reads as follows:

Kandi is a Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter who resides in Atlanta with her live-in fiancé and six-year-old daughter Riley. She is a former member of the platinum-selling musical group Xscape, and won a Grammy Award for her work on TLC’s mega hit “No Scrubs.” She has also written music for artists that include Mariah Carey, Destiny’s Child and Alicia Keys. Kandi juggles her busy life as a single mom and hard working career woman, but also finds time to let loose on the Atlanta social scene, stepping out with members of the music industry’s elite.

Kandi is currently engaged to A.J. Jewell:

Jumping into the mix as the newest housewife with help from friend Lisa, Kandi wastes no time acclimating herself to the group. Recently engaged to fiancé AJ, she balances being a mom, planning her dream wedding, with launching a solo career and working on a new album.

As LALATE broke yesterday, Rachelle Lefevre has been recast for Twilight’s Eclipse. Now Rachelle Lefevre says Eclipse’s production company Summit “hurt [her] deeply” by recasting the role.

Why? She says that company wouldn’t allow her 10 days for shooting another film during Eclipse’s over three month shooting schedule.

Really?

As LALATE reported yesterday, in for her role of Victoria is Bryce Dallas Howard. Now Rachelle Lefevre is speaking out, telling press the following:

“I was fully committed to the ‘Twilight’ saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria. I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to ‘Barney’s Version’ is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for ‘Eclipse.’ Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me.

“Given the length of filming for ‘Eclipse,’ never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.  I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the ‘Twilight’ audience. This is a story, a theatrical journey and a character that I truly love and about which I am very passionate. I will be forever grateful to the fan support and loyalty I’ve received since being cast for this role, and I am hurt deeply by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me. I wish the cast and crew of ‘Eclipse’ only the very best.”

PHOTO! Here is a picture of Tony Romo’s “friend ” Natalie Smith. But for Jessica Simpson, Natalie Smith’s “friendship” with Tony Romo wouldn’t probably sell a magazine. But this week, Smith’s friendship with Romo while he was dating with Jessica Simpson will be front page news on one magazine.

If it seems so similar, it is.

This week, magazines will run a story about how Nick Lachey’s new “friend” looks like Jessica Simpson, and how Jon Gosselin’s new “friend” has the same name and looks lie  his ex wife. And now, adding to the compare and contrast tabloid trend, US Magazine is running a story comparing Natalie Smith, Tony Romo’s friend, to Jessica Simpson.

The mag calls her a “younger, skinnier look-alike of the singer”. Hardly.

And guess who gives a direct quote for the article? Smith herself. Of course. And about whom? Jessica Simpson. Smith says of Simpson – “She was cool and nice.”

Yawn.

So will any ex’s appear on newsstands this week hanging out with friends that look TOTALLY different their former flames? Chances are not.

EXCLUSIVE! Here are photos of Jon and Kate Gosselin’s houses. Kate’s new home is in Rockville. But the couple’s first home has finally sold, LALATE can exclusively report.

Over the last few months, LALATE has profiled for you the Gosselin’s real estate deals. And while news of Kate buying in Rockville hit yesterday, LALATE can report that the Gosselin’s former home Elizabethtown has by all indications finally sold.

In June of 2009, LALATE told you the Gosselin’s Elizabethtown had yet to sell. Now indication today the house’s MLS listing is no longer on the Gosselin broker’s website. The Gosselin home was described as follows:

“Large brick cape cod w/great location & tons of extras! Geothermal system w/backup electric, new bambo HW floors & new carpet throughout (except LL). ADT wireless security system, lg 22×12 covered rear deck, laundry rm on 1st fl w/2 sets of Whirlpool washers & dryers included in sale! Then the Gosselin’s moved to their current mansion for a price tag of reported $1.3 million.

Mark McLeod today is a free man. Chatham County Sheriff Al St Lawrence said McLeod, 53, did nothing wrong.

“If we had heard something about this guy supposedly being a stalker or he had been charged with a felony he wouldn’t have been released.”

St Lawrence tells local press further the following:

“If [Mark McLeod] really is a stalker, yes this would be a concern, but again we were told nothing about any of the comments that McLeod made to Tybee Island arresting officers. And even if we had been told, it wouldn’t have mattered because he was charged with two non-violent misdemeanors and we acted accordingly.”

McLeod is reportedly free on a subpoena signature and due in court in September. Below is video of him at the Miley Cyrus event.
