Jake Peavy’s trade to the White Sox was just announced before today’s non-waiver trading deadline. Jake Peavy has been traded to the White Sox from the Padres in exchange for four pitchers.

Says reports, Peavy disapproved the trade months ago but this time around gave his okay. Peavy was reportedly traded for Clayton Richard and three minor league pitchers. Richard is 4-3 with 4.65. The names of the minor pitchers were not released to press today.

But the bigger question – how about Peavy’s injury? Jake remains on the DL list with the injury to his right ankle. His stats for the season have been 6-6, 3.97 era.
