Vernon Forrest DEATH

Breaking news of the death of boxer Vernon Forrest. Vernon Forrest is dead following a robbery murder. Forrest was 38.
The former boxing champion was murdered from gun shots during a robbery in Atlanta, reports local police moments ago. Forrest suffered multiple shots to the back Saturday night during a random robbery.
Forrest was a WBC super welterweight champion and former Olympian. Forrest was tentatively scheduled to fight Sergio Martinez later this year, coming into the match with a record of 41-3.
His manager Charles Watson tells local press Forrest was killed for his wallet at a gas station on McDaniel Street in Mechanicsville shortly after 11 pm Saturday night.
“There were several guys around him, and they had already planned to rob him. Somehow they snatched his wallet and started running and he (Forrest) proceeded after them.
“He started walked back, and the guy jumped out and shot him, then shot him six more times on the ground.”
Funeral arrangements have not been announced. No arrests have been made.
