Prince Fielder’s wife Chanel Fielder turned Prince into a vegetarian. Now Chanel Fielder’s husband is your 2009 Home Run Derby winner, as a 260 pound vegan!

Prince Fielder’s wife Chanel made Prince go vegan prior to the 2008 baseball. So understand, the 260 pounds you saw competing tonight did not come from meat or fish removed from his diet by Chanel. It all started after Prince was handed by Chanel the book “Skinny Bitch Diet” by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin.

Prince said of the diet:

“My wife said that if I lose some power, she’s cooking me a big steak.”

Brewers’ owner Mark Attanasio flew in Chanel and tons of support tonight for competing Hoffman, Braun, and Fielder (who was only on reserve for tonight). On the plane, Fielder brought Chanel, two kids, a babysitter, and Chanel’s mom Sandy. The plane was so packed Sandy had to sit in the cockpit at points.

Chanel told press:

“We gave … [Sandy] two rules: no talking and no touching.”

Whether it was family support or going vegan, something worked right for Fielder tonight who delivered 23 home runs in 3 rounds, averaging 439 feet.
