Artist Dash Snow’s death has been confirmed by grandmother Christophe de Menil. Dash Snow died of a drug overdose.

Snow was 27.

The New York artist worked in video and photography and was featured in galleries from Los Angeles to Europe. Ms. de Menil tells press that Dash Snow had fought an addiction problem. In March 2009, Snow entered an unnamed rehab facility and had recently been clean, says the artist’s grandmother.
