Ocracoke Fireworks Explosion!
PHOTO! Here is a breaking picture of the Ocracoke Island fireworks explosion. The Ocracoke Island fireworks explosion in N.C. has left one person dead, four critical.
A truck exploded at 9 am local time. Hyde County’s rep issued the following statement to local press moments ago:
“Of the five crew members, one is deceased and four are in critical condition.
“Representatives from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Company will be on site this afternoon to evaluate the scene.”
The fireworks reportedly tore apart the 18 wheel truck while in transit, closest to area ferry docks.
No details about the cause of the explosion has yet to be released. The incident is under investigation.

Check again that was NOT an 18 wheel truck. More than likely it was a 24ft budget rental truck like most other firework companies use
