Sarah Palin Resignation!

Sarah Palin Resignation as Governor - Sarah Palin has resigned as Governor of Alaska! Palin’s Resignation announcement came moments ago at a press conference today July 3, 2009.
LALATE told you the Sarah Palin’s Press Conference announcement 11 am was called abruptly. Now we know why.
Palin will be in the next couple weeks step down as governor of Alaska to be replaced by Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell. Insiders say there is a clear reasoning for the sudden resignation, not explained by Palin.
She made the announcement from her home. No video is yet available from Wasilla. Even NBC and its local affiliate KTUU don’t have video yet. Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell will be inaugurated later this month.
Still no reason why the resignation, why so abruptly, and why announced in the manner it was.
Less than 24 hours ago, LALATE broke to you the details about unearthed Palin campaign emails. Sarah Palin’s 2008 campaign emails are exposed in a new Vanity Fair issue. The Palin campaign emails are from the final three weeks before the 2009 Election. As CBS and Vanity Fair explain the emails allegedly show frustration by Palin with McCain’s aides over treatment of her campaign.
But yet, the emails aren’t really probative and not as fascinating as CBS or Vanity Fair claim them to be. They just show Palin at times displeased. One such Palin email reads:
“Pls get in front of that ridiculous issue that’s cropped up all day today - two reporters, a protestor’s sign, and many shout-outs all claiming Todd’s involvement in an anti-American political party. It’s bull, and I don’t want to have to keep reacting to it …
“Pls have statement given on this so it’s put to bed.”
Jason Recher told CBS that the emails did not prove Palin didn’t follow strategists hired by the McCain camp. He hopes the isolated emails are ignored and people focus on Palin today, not what is represented in emails from 2008.
Weeks earlier, Palin returned to national attention with her David Letterman dispute.

Palin late told Matt Lauer on Today:
“He doesn’t have to apologize to me. I would like to see him to apologize to young women across the country for contributing to that thread throughout our culture that makes it seem OK to talk about … statutory rape. It’s not cool and it’s not funny”
When Palin was told by Lauer that Letterman’s comments were about 18 year Bristol, Palin responded as follows:
“I would say that you and anybody else are extremely naïve to believe David Letterman’s very extremely convenient excuse. … No wonder young girls have such low self esteem when we think it’s funny for a so-called comedian to make a remark like he did and think it’s acceptable.”
Still no reason given by Palin yet for her resigntion today. Still developing …
