“The Michael Jackson Public Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at STAPLES Center in downtown Los Angeles, California and simulcast inside to Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE across the street. A limited number of free tickets to both venues will be made available for Michael Jackson’s fans to attend.
“Due to the expected overwhelming demand, the following procedures have been set to accommodate registration for the tickets. Please note that by registering for tickets to attend the Public Memorial Service, it does NOT guarantee the registrant tickets.
The Lottery for tickets starts right now, 10 am PST Friday, and ends tomorrow, 6 pm PST Saturday:
The opportunity to register for tickets begins at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time on Friday, July 3, 2009 and ends at 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time on Saturday, July 4, 2009.
There is a limit on how many tickets you can get:
Only one entry per individual will be accepted. Registering to attend the Public Memorial Service is NOT a guarantee of tickets. Two tickets will be issued to each randomly selected attendee. Offer valid to residents of the United States only.

I must have tickets to pay my respects, he came to Stockton for my son, Gabriel (I helped raise) and classmates when a crazy man went into my son’s Gabriel’s elementary school started shooting and killing innocent kids in the school playground and afterwards Michael came to uplift the surviving kids (my son being a survivor), Gabriel is deaf and so were his classmates they were lost when bullets came flying through their classroom, they had no idea what was happening. and to help them cope with the tragic trauman they endured. please find it in your heart to let me have 4 tickets to attend I am making arrangements already. I grew up with the Jackson 5, I’ve loved them early on and I still love them. Michael was the kindest, gentlest human being on earth. I only wish he knew how much he was loved and how much he will be missed. R.I.P., Also to the Jackson family.. May you once again sing with Michael in the heavens above, he is truly an angel. I really wish that one day I could have met Michael. I love him very much and feel I connected to him through his music. I feel that he was a gift from God to the world. I feel that he had fulfilled God’s purpose for his life and it was time to come home. I am often being ridiculed at work because some people do not understand how I could grieve so much over someone I have never met. But I and many, many others are proof that it is possible. Michael Jackson has been an inspiration to both young and old.It’s so sad to have to say goodbye to one of the greatest person that lived on this earth. I saw Michael perform in the philippines when he was about 8 years old. It was such a privilage to see him perform with such a unique talent that everyone loves to imitate all over the world. It will be such a great honor to pay my respects to him one last time.It will be the epidimy of my greatest achievent if me and my family (my niece and her child) to see him one last time and pay my respect and most of all a tribute of prayers to him personally and his family. I can’t believe how Michael left his fans so suddenly. A great man has left this earth with such great talent. He was one of the person who I wanted to meet but I guess I will never have that opportunity anymore.I loved all his song and my daughter and I listens to his music. Just last thursday our spinsity class paid a tribute to Michael by doing our exercises to all his songs. It saddens us to hear them knowing that he has left this earth and had gone to a better place where no one can ever hurt him anymore. Michael you are now at peace. Michael stayed strong for his family and his fans who stayed true to him. You and your family are in our prayers. May you finally find peace and everlasting love. Just know that you have your family and loving fans who always love and care for you. May the legend of the king of POP live forever. Dear Michael, I had wanted to write you for a long time. I wanted to tell you that even though you felt alone, that you were not. That even though people were moved by greed, not all are. That your words touched many lives, even though many of the words you saw were hurtful to you. You were looking for love that Joseph never gave. Treating you like a paycheck instead of a son. You were taught the truth at an early age, you were given the tools you needed to survive. The only father you needed gave you the gift, I hope that he has you in his memory.
