Original Story Below
The tickets comes just as video of Michael Jackson’s final performance, a Staples Center rehearsal of They Don’t Really Care About Us from June 23, 2009, was released today by AEG LIVE.
A new report today says the Memorial at Staples will be more of a Concert extravaganza, than a memorial service.
Some reports say VIP passes will be offered. The event reportedly will feature lots of music videos, celebrity speeches and other surprises.
The event will be July 7, Tuesday, from 10 am to 12 noon. Staples Center will formally announce the details Friday morning and LALATE will have them for you first.

Now more then ever, I believe something and someone killed Michael. He looked so comfortable and natural on stage at Staples, just two days before his untimely death. Nothing will bring him back and he is so missed by so many. He gave himself to everyone. I loved watching him as child myself. He had such a sad life, in so many ways. It took his death, to make him the legend he was and still remains. People are just beginning to realize, how unfair the media portrayed him. He did great things for the world. I love you Michael and god bless you. I mourn for you.

i can truly say that the loss of michael jackson is unreal but deeply felt. i can’t begin to imagine the difficulty his family is going through at this time especially with the media focusing on the negative but my heart and prayers go out to them all. he touched us all through his god given talents and left us in awe each time he graced the stage. my biggest memory of michael was when i was 9 watching his grammy performance when he introduced the moonwalk to the world and forever changed my life. today im 34 with a 4 year old who worships the ground michael jackson walks on and gets the same excitement i had as a young boy when he hears the intro riff to the platinum selling song “beat it” and to me that speaks volumes on who this man weve lost is and always will be and that is ” the king of pop”. may god bless his soul and watch over his family and may he rest in peace for eternity. one love !

Michael Jackson is the “King of Pop.” Elvis does not match up to Michael. He, Elvis, did not embrace all nationalities. He was not the artful entertainer that Michael was. Michael was a gift from heaven. His ability to entertain and enthrall millions of fans is living proof of his stature on society as a whole. Also, for those of you who would like to blacken his name, I say to you, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.” IF Elvis is in heaven, as some of you Elvis lovers believe, then you can rest assuredly that Michael is also in heaven. We loved him, but God loved him best. To Katherine Jackson, I say, “A job well done.” Feel good about one of the greatest contributions a mother can make to a child and to society, a man whose magnificence will be remembered through the ages. To the rest of the family, I say, “Weep not, Michael is not gone, he is resting in the bosom of God.”

This is a very sad passing of ANOTHER artist. It seems more and more we are finding that doctors are playing god with those who can pay them a paycheck. Someone needs to stand up and monitor ALL doctors, if they are prescribing too much of one drug to several different patients, then just maybe something is wrong. Not every patients takes the same drug. What are we learning from this? Elvis dies from prescription drugs, Anna Nicole Smith, now Michael Jackson. There are more I am sure, it is just these are the high profiles everyone can relate to.
When the Beatles and Elvis was in their prime, the internet wasn’t their eyes, I am sure they would have been even bigger then they were. Michael happened to be in the middle of the media of the internet, so he appears bigger then the others because he came into peoples homes at the click of the mouse. This isnt about who is bigger then the others, the problem will always exist if something is not done to those doctors who play russian roulett with other lives. They are suppose to help HEAL not enable those on drugs. Drugs are not an answer, they are an escape. These Doctors need to help with solutions and not be a part of the problem. Michael we will all miss you and all that you said, you ain’t seen nothing yet will never come to life.I hope you find the peace you were so looking for in this lifetime. May love have its way with you. Pam
