Fred Travalena’s death has struck fans around the nation. Fred Travalena’s has died at age 66. Travelena had suffered previously from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Travalena was 66.

The impressionist who did Bugs Bunny like no other was on Letterman and countless other late night shows for over thirty years. He appeared on the ABC Comedy Hour and the Dean Martin Roasts. He later hosted Anything For Money, a tv game show.

Travelna’s lymphoma returned in July 2008 after remission started in 2003. He died in Encino, California surrounded by family. “The Man of a Thousand Faces” appeared in several tv specials, besides being a headliner in Las Vegas to Atlantic City.

How many impersonation could he do? Some estimates put it far more than 360 personalities. As the Times remembers, he was able to go in and out of voices, or do one personality doing another celebrity:

“He also was known to sing “Have I Told You Lately” in various voices, including Kermit the Frog (“Have I told you lately that I love you”), Katharine Hepburn (“Have I told you there’s no one else above you”) and Frank Sinatra (“You fill my heart with gladness . . . “)

“The imaginative entertainer even did Sinatra imitating Boy George.”

Beyonce told audiences:  “I want to thank Michael Jackson for being my teacher and my hero.”

Meantime, the Jackson family is asking for an independent autopsy to be done on the popstar. New reports say that the attending doctor in Jackson’s home found the star with a pulse initially inside his rented Holmby Hills home. At some point later Jackson lost the ability to breath and CPR was administered. The family wants to know what went on in those last final moments.

In attendance that night, Jackson’s father Joe Jackson seated next to Rev Al Sharpton. In recent days, Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have both been seen at the Jackson family compound in Encino.

BET president Debra Lee told audiences the following:

“When we heard the news of Michael Jackson’s passing, we knew immediately we were going to have to change the nature of this show. It was a labor love. Michael was truly a musical deity.”

Alicia Keys said of the evening:

“There’s a beautiful energy that’s circulating in this room. There’s a certain spirit that’s in this room. And I know whose spirit is. I think we all know whose spirit is in this room.”

Reports that Grace Rwaramba as Michael Jackson’s nanny pumped his stomach are false? Grace Rwaramba, nanny for Jacskon’s children Paris, Prince I, and Prince II (Blanket) was quoted in a lengthy article Sunday for the Times of London.

The article ran the following alleged statement by Grace:

“I had to pump his stomach many times. He always mixed so much of it. There was one period that it was so bad that I didn’t let the children see him. He always ate too little and mixed too much.”

Mallika Chopra in a later article Sunday says that is false. Chopra is daughter of Jackson friend Deepak Chopra. Chopra writes:

“For the record, Grace never pumped Michael’s stomach. She has no idea how she would even do such a thing. Grace is more than my best friend – I refer to her as my sister.”

Chopra also says there is no rift between Grace and Katherine Jackson.

“In the article, Daphne tries to portray a rift between Katherine Jackson and Grace. This is not true. I would like to go on record, with Grace’s permission, to say that Grace firmly hopes that the Jackson family gets custody of Prince, Paris and Michael.”

The Times article claimed that Katherine Jackson just hours after Michael’s death called up Grace out of the blue and asked where was alleged hidden money in the rented Jackson home.

“[Katherine] said, ‘Grace, the children are crying. They are asking about you. They can’t believe that their father died. Grace, you remember Michael used to hide cash at the house. I am here. Where can it be?’ “

The Times article however is pages long and many of the stunning details are not responded to by Chopra.

On Wednesday, Maria Belen Shapur was finally identified Wednesday as the complete name of the mistress “Maria” but Friday reports said it’s Chapur. Her apartment building’s picture is depicted above.

Now today, the 41 year old has reportedly “acknowledged having a relationship with South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford, saying Sunday that widely published e-mail correspondence between the two was obtained from her account without permission” says AP.

She issued the following statement to C5N Buenos Aires Sunday:

“I have decided to send this statement to clear up certain incorrect things that are being reported and put an end to a matter that, as you imagine, is very painful to me, my two children, my entire family and close friends.”

Maria Belen Shapur lives reportedly in the Republica de La India in Buenos Aires in the Barrio Palermo, near the the Buenos Aires zoo. Shapur is fluent in English, Portuguese and Chinese.
