The home is closest to the 101 Freeway.
Earlier today LALATE broke to you that Michael Jackson’s body will be transported from Los Angeles to Neverland Ranch on Thursday at 10 AM PST. A public memorial will then be held at Neverland Ranch on Friday.

In the early part of this decade, Forbes estimated Neverland was worth at least $120 million. At the time, the ranch was in top condition. But in later years, the property deteriorated. In February 2008, Financial Title Company reported a $24 million mortgage on the property was not getting paid by Jackson and would prompt the mortgager to schedule a public auction March 2008. That sale was then halted on news Fortress Investment would become involved. It’s unclear what became of Fortress but then a May 2008 sale was back on the calendar.
That sale was stopped by an 11th hour deal between Jackson and Tom Barrack’s Colony Capital. Colony Capital picked up the note, $24.5 million, and Jackson told press in May:
“I am pleased with recent developments involving Neverland Ranch and I am in discussions with Colony and Tom Barrack with regard to the Ranch and other matters that would allow me to focus on the future.”
By November, Jackson sold an unknown property interest in the estate for $35 million. Jackson’s remaining percentage in the property is unknown.
Over the weekend, LALATE broke to you initial proposals to turn Neverland Ranch into a Graceland like museum. As of Tuesday 10 am PST is it unclear if Michael Jackson will be buried at Neverland. But initial proposals last weekend suggested that as the hope, with a return of Neverland ranch contents previously slated for a Beverly Hills auction, and a restoration of the extensive acres and grounds at the Ranch.

michael jackson was one of the greatist person you can ever meet or know about.When the news said that he died i was crying as much as you can think.every night even before he died ever sance i was like 3 i alwys dreamed that he was my dad.

Your talking about two people that had the same type of spirit that never had the chance to connect in human form on earth. Michael Jackson was truly about love, he will definitely be missed down here on earth.

When you think of Princess DI and Mother Theresa Michael will have great company in heaven! I’m sure they are all putting their head together to get Michael’s message to the world LOVE and make it a better place for all! I miss Michael more than I can express, to me he was the sweetest most loving man who truly tried to make this a better world because he LOVE his fellow man! Michael has been my imaginary friend and/or lover for 20+ years. Although what happened that awful day ion 2009 happened, I refuse to accept it. However, I am quite sure he ascended and is weaving more music and Neverland in a higher plane of existence.
