Isabelle Jarka Kelle Jarka

PHOTO. Here is a picture of Kelle Jarka who tells 20/20 his side of the Isabelle Jarke case tonight. Isabelle Jarka’s husband Kelle Jarka of 19 years was sentenced to life in prison.

The difference - not a single trace of evidence. Says 20/20: “Can a man be sent to prison when there is no hard evidence and just circumstantial evidence? From inside the police interrogation room to an interview with Kelle Jarka, Jim Avila reports on a murder mystery that stunned a Southern California community.”

The segment’s producer tells local press:

“It was one of those rare instances where someone was convicted of this type of crime and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, and the case was almost inclusively circumstantial evidence…He could be your next-door neighbor. He doesn’t come across as a killer.”

Jarka told his judge before sentencing:

“We were married for 20 beautiful years. Isabelle and I dreamed of growing old together. That dream was taken from us… I long for her smile, her touch, her smell, her love.”

“It’s always nice to be in the main event, especially since I’m fighting at home. As far as the fight goes, a lot has happened since 2006, and I think I’m much better than I was back then. That means a win on November 21st, but more importantly I want to settle the score with Tito.”

Ortiz vs. Griffin Start Time!

Posted on November 20th, 2009 in MMA, UFC by lalate

UFC 106 Fight Card

What time is UFC 106 Ortiz vs. Griffin fight on? The Tito Ortiz Forrest Griffin fight and the Main Card UFC 106 action starts at 7 PM PST 10 PM EST.

Tito Ortiz tells press that this fight is going to prove one thing - Tito Ortiz is back.

“I really want to press this fight as much as possible. And it’s going to be 15 minutes of my life that I’m going to give 100 percent, and when I step in the cage, you know people are going to realize that Tito Ortiz is back.”

Ortiz said everything went downhill after his injury. But that’s behind him now.

“When I got injured, everything kind of went downhill after that.

“I was just kind of training to survive for each fight. There’s fights I should have took and I shouldn’t have took, but I believe when I come in, I have a lot of heart. I have a lot of determination, and I put in the right training. And, when it’s fight time, you know I give it my all.”

Saturday’s main fight card rematches a three year old fight when Ortiz defeated Griffin by split-decision in Anaheim. But Tito is not looking at the past and says he is right where he wants to be heading forward.

“Everything’s on my shoulders, I believe. Everything happens for a reason. I’m right back where I need to be.”

“I’m ready for what I think will be a good war. The Tito of old is coming back — my heart, my determination, my ferocity. I promise I’m going out on my shield, or on a pedestal.”

Ortiz says on the UFC site that his training hasn’t changed.

“I’m training the same as all my other fights. Prepare for the worst so the best will happen. Team Punishment is at full force…. [Griffin] always comes to fight with a lot of heart and I’ve just gotta test that heart. I respect him as a fighter and it’s going come down to a grueling fight. We’ll see if he can handle the ground and pound of Tito Ortiz and the pressure I’m gonna put on him.”

Overton Window Glenn Beck YouTube

VIDEO! Here is video of Glenn Beck’s Overton Window remarks. What is the Overton Window? The Overton Window is a political theory in which you shift the range of acceptance political ideas based upon the introduction of new outer unacceptable ideas.

The Overton Window starts with an initial range of ideas on a subject. Within that range ideas are deemed acceptable ideas; outside are seen unacceptable or outer fringe.

From there the technique is to push unacceptable outer fringe ideas into the range of acceptable ideas. How is that achieved? But introducing even more unacceptable ideas. The theory is that as the public sees new outer fringe ideas more unacceptable, older fringe ideas will push into the range as not so bad, becoming acceptable.

The originator of the theory is Joe Overton, former vice president of the Mackinac Center for Public Policy.

Below is video of Glenn on the subject today.

Marv Albert 50 Cent No LOVE!

Posted on November 20th, 2009 in 50 Cent by lalate

Marv Albert 50 Cent

Marv Albert gets no love from 50 Cent’s entourage. The Marv Albert 50 Cent feud comes as Marv Albert and 50 Cent the same day both had new hip hop albums dropping TV appearances.

The location of the drama - Jimmy Kimmel Live! .. seriously. The LA Times reports 50’s entourage didn’t recognize Marv Albert when 50 was prepping for the show the same night as Marv.

“As Albert arrived, with an entourage of one, TNT public relations specialist Jeff Pomeroy, there was a sudden scuffle when a multitude of 50 Cent protectors seemed unfamiliar with Albert. There was shouting (”It’s Marv Albert,” yelled a Kimmel show guard, a pronouncement that seemed to have no effect on the 50 Cent phalanx.) There were obscenities. A fist or two flying. A “Don’t you put your hands on me” pronouncement.

“And finally Albert made it to his waiting room, relatively unruffled but slightly puzzled. “Did you see that?” Albert said. “I thought they were kidding, but then I realized they weren’t.” “

Considering 50 cent had so many hit songs this year, it’s no wonder Marv Albert even recognized him.
