VIDEO! Watch below again video of Scott Roeder of Merriam, Kansas held in the Dr George Tiller shooting case. Scott Roeder of Merriam, Kansas will reportedly be charged Monday with murder and two counts of aggravated assault. Federal charges also are possible says local reports.

Local police say today that they reportedly intend to:

“investigate this suspect to the ninth degree. His history, his family, his associates … and we’re just in the beginning stages of that.”

Tiller’s family has issued a statement late today:

“Today we mourn the loss of our husband, father and grandfather. Today’s event is an unspeakable tragedy for all of us and for George’s friends and patients. … This is particularly heart-wrenching because George was shot down in his house of worship, a place of peace.”

Reports online say of Roeder the following:

Scott Philip Roeder is 51 years old. Roeder was born on February 25, 1958. Roeder is 6?-2? tall and weighs 230 lbs. Roeder was convicted in 1996 in Shawnee County, Kansas. Roeder was found guilty in the charge for use of explosives. In 1997 Scott Roeder was sentenced to sixteen months in state prison for parole violations following a 1996 explosives conviction. Roeder violated parole by failing to give his social security number to his employer. Roeder also failed to file his income tax return.
