Spears’ manager made the sudden sneak announcement on Twitter one hour ago that a major announcement was coming at 10 pm. And here it is:

“The Circus Starring Britney Spears 2009 Tour” Comes to Europe This Summer for an Exclusive Limited Engagement

After an extraordinary run of 39 North American tour dates Britney Spears is bringing “The Circus Starring Britney Spears 2009 Tour” to Europe. The largest arena concert spectacular to ever tour Europe will begin its run with 8 nights at London’s O2 Arena starting June 3. “The Circus Starring Britney Spears 2009 Tour” is a dazzling display of music, dance, magic and theatrics.

New European Tour Dates:

June 19 – O2 Arena – Dublin, Ireland
June 20 – O2 Arena – Dublin, Ireland
July 5 – Bercy – Paris, France
July 6 – Bercy – Paris, France
July 9 – Sportpalais – Antwerp, Belgium

Fox has reported it will not air the press conference. While Obama’s press conferences have been huge ratings hits, they cause a reported loss of $1 million per broadcaster preempting advertising that would normally air with programming. Fox will offer the press conference broadcast on its Fox News Channel.

We are continuing to closely monitor the emerging cases of the H1N1 flu virus throughout the United States. As I said this morning, this is obviously a very serious situation, and every American should know that their entire government is taking the utmost precautions and preparations.

This budget builds on the steps we’ve taken over the last one hundred days to move this economy from recession to recovery and ultimately to prosperity. We began by passing a Recovery Act that has already saved or created over 150,000 jobs and provided a tax cut to 95% of all working families. We passed a law to provide and protect health insurance for eleven million American children whose parents work full-time. And we launched a housing plan that has already contributed to a spike in the number of homeowners who are refinancing their mortgages, which is the equivalent of another tax cut.

But even as we clear away the wreckage of this recession, I have also said that we cannot go back to an economy that is built on a pile of sand – on inflated home prices and maxed-out credit cards; on overleveraged banks and outdated regulations that allowed the recklessness of a few to threaten the prosperity of us all.

Jon of Jon and Kate Plus 8 says he is not cheating. Jon and Kate Plus 8 plus “other woman” appears as the cover of the new US Weekly on newsstands this week.

The cover story has the story title “Jon and Kate Plus 8 Dad Caught With Other Woman” and the cover reads “caught with other woman”. The magazine claims “Jon & Kate Plus 8 dad leaving a club at 2 a.m. — with a mystery woman and without his wedding band” and referring to the woman as “babe”.

Jon slams the magazine in a response, saying the story is false and the woman is just a female friend and that’s it:

“I went to Legends to speak to the owner. A friend of mine wanted to check out my car, so I let her drive it to her car,” he says. “Yes, I have female friends — but that is all she is. I’m not going to end my friendships just because I’m on TV.”

In April another magazine, the Star, said the following of Jon:

And in recent weeks, the star of the TLC reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8 has been doing just that — slipping away from his new $1.3 million mansion to party the night away with a bevy of college cuties!

The father of twins and sextuplets has been living it up in Huntingdon, Pa., where his mom resides. He turned up uninvited at a Feb. 6 party thrown by Juniata College seniors Erin Albert and Mariel Little — and ended up playing the drinking game beer pong with members of the women’s volleyball team!

Jon snapped at those Star remarks with the following response:

“It is certainly hurtful for people to spread rumors and lies about us. It certainly makes me reluctant to live my life like the average person would. This has made it very clear that the simplest innocent gesture -— such as taking a picture with a fan, can be taken out of context. As you can see on the show, I am not perfect, but I am a part of a loving family and couple.”
