Reports of Swine Flu at Disney in Orlando Florida are not confirmed, says reports. Swine Flu in Orlando Florida reports swirled out of control shortly pass 2 PM EST Tuesday.

To recap, Dr. Loran Hauck, Chief Medical Officer at Florida Hospital had first said in an email:

“a case was diagnosed here in Orlando today on a tourist from Mexico who came to Disney attractions two days ago to visit.”

But that was reportedly followed up by a quick press conference today to correct that email by saying – no – there are no confirmed cases of swine flu in Orlando

“In this case, if it was implied that it was swine flu, that was a misstatement. We have not had any confirmations from the CDC. We’ve had two or three cases of positive influenza. We should know about these in 48 hours.”

Again, Florida state officials say there is no confirmation, emphasis confirmation, as they are awaiting testing.

Megan McAllister and Philip Markoff are set to wed this August. But now McAllister has issued her second statement to press moments ago making no mention if they will or won’t wed in August.

McAllister tells Fox today in a statement:

“In the past two short weeks, my life and what I hoped my life to be has dramatically changed. I want to thank my family and my friends who have supported me during this very difficult time. Without them, I do not know how I could make it through this nightmare. I hope they know that I love each and every one of them.

I also love my fiancé and I will continue to support him throughout this legal process. My heart goes out to all of those afflicted by these events, especially the families and individuals who have personally suffered from this tragedy.

It is my intent to full cooperate with my fiancé’s attorney as well as, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office as they both continue their investigations. I can only tell them what I know and what is the truth. I will expect that these discussions will occur within the next several days.

What has been portrayed and leaked to the media is not the Philip Markoff that I know. To me and my family, he is a loving and caring person and in the eyes of the law and constitution, he is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. I just can only hope that the criminal justice system will not be overwhelmed and persuaded by what is being put forth in the media. My fiancé’s fate should not rest in the court of public opinion, but rather in a court of law.”

She previously told press the following:

“Unfortunately, you were given wrong information as was the public. All I have to say to you is Philip is a beautiful person inside and out and could not hurt a fly! A police officer in Boston (or many) is trying to make big bucks by selling this false story to the TV stations. What else is new?? Philip is an intelligent man who is just trying to live his life so if you could leave us alone we would greatly appreciate it. We expect to marry in August and share and wonderful, meaningful life together.”

The Supreme Court has just ruled the FCC can punish TV broadcasters for airing cursing or “indecent” language. The TV cursing rule was a narrow decision of 5-4.

It authorizes the FCC to continue its practice of placing huge fines on tv broadcasters who allow “foul-mouthed glitteratae from Hollywood” to curse on TV.

Nicole Ritchie did it at the Billboard Music awards reportedly in 2003, Cher too.

The case was FCC v Fox with Scalia writing the opinion:

“The commission could reasonably conclude that the pervasiveness of foul language, and the coarsening of public entertainment in other media such as cable, justify more stringent regulation of broadcast programs so as to give conscientious parents a relatively safe haven for their children.”

The decision does not apply to cable, satellite, or internet tv because they do not use public airwaves. The ruling only applies to broadcast television channels.

Swine Flu in North Carolina is now the latest concern.  Swine Flu in North Carolina joins New Jersey as among the new states being investigated by health officials.

As of 11 AM EST today, five states are confirmed with swine flu by the CDC:
California 10 cases
Kansas 2 cases
New York City 45 cases
Ohio 1 case
Texas 6 cases

But as reported last night, New Jersey state health officials reportedly confirm they are investigating influenza reports in its state awaiting formal confirmation testing by CDC. Now North Carolina confirms the same.

As has been the routine, local state officials first inform press of potential swine flu cases but cannot confirm them until CDC testing, and that can sometimes take at least a day.

In the case of New York, LALATE reported to you those possible New York swine flu cases. But it wasn’t until at least a day that CDC confirmed them as officially swine flu victims.

Now Tuesday North Carolina is confirming possible cases of swine flu in its state but aren’t identifying the number of residents nor their location; that is in stark contrast to New Jersey that at roughly the same time are identifying the number of residents it’s concerned about – five.

Paris Hilton on Swine Flu? What’s that!

Normally Hollywood photographers never have anything good to ask Paris. This time was the exception:

When asked by a photographer: “[Paris!]You worried about the swine flu Paris? It’s killing a lot of people in Mexico”, Hilton’s response was “I don’t eat that.”

Yes, she doesn’t eat that. But does she nosh on pandemic? Move over headbands – surgical masks are the new fashion statement.
