How did they meet?
We met while going to college at University at Albany together. Megan was a senior and Phil was a sophomore. Our apartment buildings were right next door and we didn’t even know it until we met one day at the hospital. We both started volunteering at the hospital on September 19, 2005. We volunteered at the Emergecy Room together and spent about 2 months pushing stretchers down hallways and bringing blood and urine samples to pathology together before our first date on November 11, 2005!!

As LALATE boroke earlier, Boston University Medical student Phil Markoff killed Julissa Brisman, 26, last Tuesday inside a Boston hotel during an alleged robbery, claim police today. Markoff was from northern New York state, now resides in Quincy near Boston, a 2007 graduate of State University of New York-Albany, and 2011 BU student. Boston University has confirmed his suspension today.
He will be arraigned Tuesday.
UPDATE
Megan says the cops have the wrong guy and everyone including prosecutors and cops should “leave us alone”.
“Unfortunately, you were given wrong information as was the public,” McAllister wrote to ABC News in an e-mail. “All I have to say to you is Philip is a beautiful person inside and out and could not hurt a fly! A police officer in Boston (or many) is trying to make big bucks by selling this false story to the TV stations. What else is new?? Philip is an intelligent man who is just trying to live his life so if you could leave us alone we would greatly appreciate it. We expect to marry in August and share and wonderful, meaningful life together.”

i was that stupid too. i had also gotten arrested myself for putting up fake profiles on the net. although i think that markof woulda eventually gotten caught even if he used another computer elsewhere. it was just quicker for them to bust him. i also dont believe they “have the wrong guy”. the cops staked out his place for several days. he also matches the description, and for some reason has material used to tie people up.

Anything can be used to tie people up. I’m sure everybody here has some rope, or zip ties, etc in their house/garage somewhere. That doesn’t mean shit.

That’s why they build an entire case - sure, anyone can have rope. Anyone can have a random pair of someone else’s underwear laying around. A lot of people can fit the general description from the video. But you have to piece it all together - who else has rope/zip ties, clothing that seemingly matches the victim, looks like the guy in the video, AND uses the suspect’s computer? My guess would be there is one such individual in the world.

Give Megan a break. The poor girl is in shock! |Imagine yourself in her situation. Every thing tragic has stages of acceptance. Of course first is denial. She is an intelligent girl, and when she is able to look at all of the evidence against this animal, she WILL come to terms with it.
I can’t imagine being in her shoes. He whole life ahead of her, planning and looking forward to her wedding day and future … She too is a victim of Phil Markoff! He stole years from this girl and, so much more,! How will she ever be able to trust completely ever again???????! . Anyway, say what you want about him, but give this girl room to mourn!

People do not always experience all of the stages, and some stages might be revisited. Some stages might not be experienced at all. Transition between stages can be more of an ebb and flow, rather than a progression. The five stages are not linear; neither are they equal in their experience. People’s grief, and other reactions to emotional trauma, are as individual as a fingerprint.
Not “every thing tragic” is so set in stone.

Megan’s letter to the media shows exactly how unstable she is and why her fiance got away with murder (literally, for a little bit) without her knowing. She’s obviously been able to overlook his whereabouts, other girls’ panties, and him disappearing for long periods of time (while he assaulted, robbed and killed).
She deserves no pity. Had she not written such an asinine letter? Maybe then. She chose to ignore all the signs (his disappearances, the fact that from the one side-angle pic you can completely tell it’s him — she should maybe even be charged for not turning him in on that one, other girls’ panties, the guns, the ties used, etc.) Now there are reports that they even have his fingerprints in one of the hotel room crime scenes. Good riddance to this piece of work, and Megan should learn to be a bit wiser in the future.
