Nas and wife Kelis’ divorce is confirmed! Nas and Kelis are divorcing confirms Kelis’ rep moments ago. The divorce of Kelis and Nas heated up dozens of blogs in 2008. In the last few weeks, handful of other blogs claimed their own exclusive that the pair are divorcing. Now late today Kelis’ rep confirms to Vibe the divorce.

“I can confirm that she has filed for divorce. We request the media to respect her privacy during this very difficult time.”

Kelis is being represented by Laura Wasser who most recently represented Britney Spears. Wasser filed a divorce petition for Kelis Thursday - irreconciable differences.

And yes, Kelis is 7 months pregnant. No comment yet by Nas.

PHOTO! Here is a picture of alleged Los Angeles westside rapist John Thomas Jr., 72. John Thomas is Los Angeles’ worse serial killer ever, claim police today, making their arrest nearly 3 decades after a police hunt began.

Police are holding Thomas in two killings but claim he might be responsible for as many as 30 persons’ deaths, nearly 10 years apart.

Police for decades have tried to solve the crime. The West Side rapist started in the 1970s and would at night attack and kill elderly women. 10 years later killings started up similar in Claremont.

Why the sudden arrest? DNA claims police. Reports Newsday:

The break came last October, when two officers collected DNA from Thomas as part of an ongoing process to swab registered sex offenders. On March 27, the California Department of Justice DNA Laboratory notified detectives that his DNA matched the evidence from the Sokoloff slaying.

On March 31, they were told that his DNA matched the four other slayings. He was arrested later that day. Thomas is being held at L.A. County Jail and could not be reached for comment.

Thomas is now 72.

Paula Abdul is having a PAWS celebrity charity auction. The Paula Abdul PAWS Auction is May 7 for the American Humane’s Pets And Women’s Shelters program (PAWS) and features items from her closet.

Catherine Zeta-Jones as Susan Boyle? Catherine Zeta-Jones wants to play Susan Boyle in a James Cameron directed film says reports.

The Britian’s Got Talent star has reportedly sparked an interest by Welsh born Catherine to play the Scottish singer in a feature film.

Tattlers from Britain’s Got Talent tell the Daily Mail:

“This is one of many requests we have had to play her [Miss Boyle], for movie deals and for stories of her life….All these people are coming out and want to be associated with her. She is the biggest thing in the world.”

Zeta-Jones reps deny the reports.

Nikki Catsouras (Porsche Girl) crash photos case will get an appellate ruling shortly. The Nikki Catsouras crash photos case is currently before the 4th District Court of Appeal in Santa Ana that must rule by June 1 if the family’s civil case against the California Highway Patrol can go ahead.

In a story that predates LALATE NEWS, Nikki was killed Halloween Day 2006, crashing her father’s Porsche at 100 mph in Lake Forest. Nikki was 18.

CHP reportedly took photos at the crash scene. From there, two employees allegedly leaked nine photos that circulated on the internet promptly. The photos were horrific, showing her nearly decapitated body.

The family sued CHP in Orange County. There the court reportedly dismissed the suit claiming the family can’t assert Nikki’s rights of privacy against the defendants.
