Rick Wagoner resigns at GM! Rick Wagoner’s resignation was requested by Obama this weekend and Wagoner has agreed. Wagoner, chairman and CEO of GM, was confirmed stepping down by the White House this weekend without a reason.
Was there a reason?
The WSJ reports the resignation was a condition to restructuring plans.
An administration official confirmed that Mr. Wagoner was asked to step down by the administration as a precondition for ongoing restructuring within the company.
The Journal points out that GM has received $17.4 billion in emergency funds so far with Chrysler and that GM is pushing for $16.6 billion more. Moreover, Obama is expected to make a new announcement on second round funds to GM as early as tomorrow.
Seth Curry’s transfer to Duke is confirmed! Seth Curry is transferring to the Duke Blue Devils, confirms Curry’s father within the hour.
“Coach K kept telling him the timing couldn’t be better. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to contribute.”
The Curry transfer will reportedly be next season. Seth will begin playing the 2010 season.
Seth is Stephen Curry’s younger brother. Curry’s father played nearly 16 seasons with the Hornets.

The claimed drug tape showing a female – alleged by the seller reportedly as Ashley Biden – was broken last Saturday here on LALATE. Now as of Sunday surprisingly still no update. Reports say that Ashley Biden and Joe Biden have yet to comment.

Joe Biden is currently in a summit in Chile (as of Saturday). Neither the White House, nor Biden, nor Ashley have yet commented about the tape seen by several news agencies which represent the woman resembles Biden.
Ashley Biden is 27, a social worker with the Delaware Department of Children, Youth and Families. Biden also sits on the board of the Delaware YWCA organization.
Many sites are doing their own stories ironically on the reports, showing alleged inconsistencies by news agencies purporting to have seen the tape. Both reports, from Radar Online and the New York Post, are authored within the late hours of Saturday, yet its unclear what day the two saw the alleged tape. While the two different on some respects as to the tape and its claims, they agree on the woman .

Reports are inconsistent as to whether a deal has been inked for the tape’s release, or even a financial bid for the tape’s sale. Unlike Radar’s report of the tape’s shopping, the Post claims an offer has been made, without any detail if the offer has been accepted:
“An American media company offered $250,000 for the footage and access to the person who shot the tape, according to the lawyers. Another company, based overseas, offered $225,000, they said. “
