USS Hartford USS New Orleans Collide!

PHOTOS! Here are pictures of the USS Hartford and USS New Orleans which have collided! The USS Hartford – New Orleans collision happened in the Strait of Hormuz. 15 sailors are slightly injured.
The two military vessels collided at 1 a.m. in the section of waters that passes between Iran and the Arabian Peninsula.
A military statement says the following about the USS New Orleans, a 362 foot long submarine:
“New Orleans suffered a ruptured fuel tank, which resulted in an oil spill of approximately 25,000 gallons of diesel fuel marine”.
No further details released.

Your story has a basic error. The ruptured tank is from the USS New Orleans…which is the Amphibiuos support ship…NOT the submarine. Submarines are nuclear powered and do not use fossil fuels.

wow tom you must know a lot about submarines then, they do use nuclear power as their main source of energy, they also have a diesel engine which is used as an emergency generator, and also to emergency ventilate a compartment, please know your information before proving you are a complete moron.

I love it when someone who has never even seen a submarine inside unlike myself who was a machinist mate on one. Where do these reporters come up with this stuff??
