Actor Wendy Richard (Pauline Fowler on BBC’s “EastEnders”, “Are You Being Served”) is dead. Wendy Richard is dead at 65 from breast cancer.

Wendy was on EastEnders, a hit soap opera, for 21 years.

But LALATE use to watch her as Shirley Brahms on the department store sitcom “Are you Being Served” which aired here in syndication a few years back (and was hilarious)!

Co star Gillian Taylforth (EastEnders) issued the following statement today:

“I was with her in EastEnders for 13 years and have many happy memories. I remember going out with her many times and she made the most wonderful chilli with chocolate in it from a recipe from a chef at the Dorchester and used to make up an extra batch for me as I loved it so much

“She was very generous like that and had a great sense of humour. I am very sad to hear of her passing and send my condolences to John and the family. She will be sorely missed.”

She will be missed.

PHOTO! Here is a picture of the largest giant freshwater stingray … you would ever want to be around. The Maeklong River, Thailand giant stingray is a record at 770 pounds caught by Ian Welch and his team.

She’s a big mama, literally. (More on that in a second.)

The giant stingray was 7 feet long, and the stinger is 10 feet long. Capture? LALATE would run /swim for his life!!!

It took a dozen men to capture the stingray and lift it out of the water. But when they learned she was pregnant, they released her back. The happy mama is off swimming again now that the record has been set.

John Mayer’s Britney Spears (joking?) diss gives you more reason to hate Mayer. Mayer says Spears’ songs are all the same and about people looking at her.

He tells Ryan Seacrest this week Spears’ songs are all about “I’m going out tonight, but nobody look at me…’”

“I’ve never met her and I’m not coming down on her but all the songs are sorta like, ‘I’m getting all my girls together, we’re gonna go out…’ and like, ‘I’ve got holes cut out for tits, I’ve got flashlights on me.’ And it’s like, ‘Why is everybody looking at me, everybody’s looking at me …. It’s been so successful for her that I’m doing it, too.”

Na. We’d rather look at Britney Spears, not you John.
