A Led Zeppelin break up / failed reunion? Yes says Jimmy Page’s manager. “Led Zeppelin are over!” says Peter Mensch.

Mensch told reporters:

“If you didn’t see them in 2007, you missed them. It’s done. I can’t be any clearer than that.”

Reports had said Page, John Paul Jones, and Jason Bonham (son of John Bonham) were set to reunite for a tour or album minus Robert Plant.

But something change, seemingly overnight.

Or did it? Press are questioning whether this might just be a publicity play.

“‘Led Zeppelin are over!’ (Or not?) … Of course, just a couple days ago this same manager was eagerly stirring up those very rumors in interviews. So who’s really to say whether any or all surviving band members might change their minds again tomorrow?”

Page’s manager Peter Mensch adds:

“They tried out a few singers, but no one worked out. That was it. The whole thing is completely over now. There are absolutely no plans for them to continue. Zero. Frankly, I wish everybody would stop talking about it.”
