Waterford Crystal Bankrupt! Waterford Wedgwood that owns Waterford Crystal, Wedgwood and Royal Doulton is bankrupt.
Waterford Wedgwood bankruptcy was announced today by the company:
“Waterford, Wedgwood and Royal Doulton are quintessentially classic brands that represent a high quality product which is steeped in history. The administration team will be working closely with management, customers and suppliers during this time to ensure operations continue whilst a sale of the business is sought.”
The proceeding of the U.K. company is being handled by Deloitte.
Other British companies to recently also seek bankruptcy: Woolworths, Hardy Amies, Whittard of Chelsea, and famed Royal Worcester and Spode.
Wedgwood is a 250 year old brand … and one of the best.
