Oregon State hits the 2008 Sun Bowl.

The 2008 Sun Bowl in El Paso will match up the Oregon State Beavers against the Pittsburgh Panthers.

The Beavers have won 8 of their last 10 games of the season.

Recently coach Mike Riley told press:

“It’s natural to be disappointed about losing a game. We all know the magnitude of the game just by itself. It’s the Civil War. We didn’t do well. Those feelings for everyone are hard, but there’s no room for babies in this group.”

But Oregon will have a tough competitor in the Panthers. Panthers Coach Dave Wannstedt said of the Sun Bowl:

“A trip to El Paso for this year’s Sun Bowl is a tremendous reward for our football program and university. The Sun Bowl has strong tradition and we are excited to add to its wonderful history this New Year’s Eve.”

This is their first bowl appearance under Dave and 25th bowl appearance for the school.
