Barack Obama and the Obamas will be staying at the HAY ADAMS HOTEL. The Hay Adams Hotel will be the Obama residence before the Inauguration.

The Blair House, where President Elects normally stay before an Inauguration, was booked, preventing the Obamas from staying there this weekend.

Earlier this week reports said that, even with the sold out hotel situation in D.C., the Obamas had secured a top hotel to stay at, the name being withheld.

But today, the Washington Post and others have released the hotel’s name, plus address. The Post says the Obamas will move into the Hay-Adams Hotel this weekend so that the kids can start schooling at Sidwell on time.

Says the paper:

“And for a few weeks, they will live in close proximity to the White House — first at the Hay Adams, and then, starting Jan. 15, a few steps closer, at Blair House, the presidential guest house. The Hay-Adams, at 16th and H Sts. NW, has 145 rooms and 20 suites; its restaurant is a regular meeting spot for White House officials in any administration. And its bar is, fittingly for the no-leak Obama team, called Off the Record.”
