Paul Benedict from the Jeffersons is dead. Funeral arrangements have not been announced. Paul Benedict is dead at age 70, but The Jeffersons’ Harry Bentley, a character Benedict perfected, will live on.

Bentley was the wacky English neighbors to the Jeffersons. But Paul first started acting in the 1960s. He appeared on screen in “The Goodbye Girl” with Richard Dreyfuss.

His Jeffersons role ran 11 years on CBS.

Paul Benedict will be missed.
