hi I am from surrey BC Canada…and i watch you like clock work..2 times a dayi was so glad when you extended these contests to Canada…and it is so wonderful how you help so many people and more people should learn from you….it warms my heart to know there are people like you. i have entered this contest everyday with the hopes of winning i know millions enter…if i did this would be great for me to make my grandsons xmas’s so special,i have 5 grandsons…from 14,13 my xmas grandson..born xmas eve,and younger ones 7,5,4,…5 year old was born on 666 june 6 2006…6th month 6 day and 2006…..lol…he has adhd hyperactive…and diffently is a handful…such a big heart….it is a challenge everyday with him…a huge Thomas the Train…fan..knows almost all the trains by heart..but anyways i hope you have a very Merry Christmas and your special wife too…and a Good new Year……thank you cindy…..@-}–

Ellen,I do not know where I would be today without you and your wonderful show. I lost my job over 5 years ago a job I had had for over 23 years. It was a good paying job with benefits. Since then I have only been able to find part time on call positions that pay minium wage with no benefits. I am 50 years ols now and have a college education but I still can’t find a half decent paying job. I worry all the time how I am going to pay for heat, food and utilities. I work hard at trying to find something better and I often feel very lucky for what I have as I work in a homeless shelter with alot of people who have far less. But I also do not feel good about myself as I do not feel as though I am at my potential. I look forward everyday to your show as it makes me smile, laugh and sometimes cry. You are such a wonderful person, open minded and caring. Please consider me for wining 1 day of your 12 days of Christmas. I will be home alone as my family all live in the states and I can not afford to travel to see them. Which means it will be another Christmas alone, with no gifts and no one to share even a dinner with. I have chosen to work Christmas day so that I will not be alone.
I look forward to hearing from you. Keep up the excellent work that you do and thanks so much for reminding your viewers to be kind to one another every day. It is so important.

Short version…can not work the computer,trying for ever.ok 2 months straight.asked people for help.seams they dont either..My son is a Marine in Afganistain,he is currentlly on 2nd tour>he is staitioned in Cali. I live in Ohio. 1st deployment/he came home from 1st tour not 1 single family or friends flew to Cali to greet him home.
This time I would like to be there..I will forget all x-mas,b-days what ever it takes.this will be the only present i will need. My son sleeps in our basement,If you could make a nice sleeping area for him when he is on pre-deployment,and send me and our family to greet him on his return I will ever be so greatful.I’m not sleeping well with the thought of this return and no one there to greet him.My mind is racing..Please Ellen,Let me be the AWESOM MARINE MOM…

Hi, Ellen im writting you from Oxford WI. I want to thank you for the inspiration you gave me as a women to start my own biz. Its not with out its difficulties, because of it being a bait and tackle store, my income is based on the seasons. Which hurts because i just got started in Sept. actually what I need is a black bear, lol, if you could get me one. This store had a lovely story about having a black bear found as a cub and cared for past its senior years. and thats how my store got on the map(Tuffy’s bait & tackle).
