David Gregory will be the next host of Meet the Press. David Gregory will take over as NBC’s Meet the Press next host, replacing interim Tom Brokaw and the late Tim Russert, says widespread online chatter.

Brokaw has been the temporary replacement since Russert passed last June. In November the list of contenders was narrowed as many believed to Andrea Michell, Gwen Ifill, Chuck Todd and Gregory.

Still no confirmation yet from NBC about their eventual pick. That announcement is expected to be made this month.
