Spears had confirmed the Star Academy appearance earlier this month, part of a series of European stops this Thanksgiving before the debut of her new album. BritneySpears.com had written back then:

“Guess what, guys? Britney has officially confirmed that she will be appearing on hit French show Star Academy on November 28th! Looks like Britney will be spending her Thanksgiving holiday in Europe!”

Spears’ performance was awesome. But the outfit - not so much.
