Sandra Samuel is a hero! Sandra Samuel is the cook who saved Moshe Holtzberg in Mumbai! Sandra Samuel saved Moshe Holtzberg, the son of Rabbi Gavriel Noach Holtzberg and wife Rivkah pictured above who were killed by terrorists in Mumbia.

New York Rabbi Gavriel Noach Holtzberg and wife Rivkah died in the Mumbai attack on the Chabad-Lubavitch Center they ran. But Moshe is alive, their two year old son, because of Sandra Samuel.

Reports of how Sandra rescued Moshe are still not sketchy.

As of now, we know that initially the terrorist broke into the Jewish center on Wednesday. At some time thereafter, Sandra Samuel, a cook for the center, was still somewhere in the building hiding. 12 hours later, Sandra heard Moshe crying.

Reportedly Moshe was outside of the room Sandra was hiding in. It’s unclear if Moshe’s parents had been killed already at that point but when Sandra emerged from her room to grab Moshe he had blood on his pants.

Sometime thereafter she, Moshe, and another person escaped from the center … and survived.

Moshe will turn 2 years old tomorrow.
