Is Katt Williams Dead? Did Katt Williams die in a plane crash? A Katt Williams plane crash dead rumor is spreading today. Here is the latest on the false Katt Williams plane rumor.
Chatter online is repeating the same line “Someone just sent me the txt saying that he died at 4a.m. in a plane crash. I hope this isn’t true!”
(Apparently a lot of people get texts at 4 am.)
A quick look here at Y’s Answers reveals 11 comments about the false rumor within the last hour. Of those 11, the vast majority by “different” people repeat the same story, receiving a 4 am text message about the news today. But they are making these posts now at 3 pm EST. One poster says the report is on Atlanta news. A quick look of Atlanta Journal Constitution site proves that not the case.
In fact, readers will remember back earlier this summer a false Lil Wayne daughter’s death rumor followed a similar pattern. The Wayne rumor said she died in a crash, the rumor surfaced on a weekend day, then repeated on Y’s Answers, and spread over to myspace, only to be confirmed false thereafter by his label.
Consider this plane crash rumor as just that, false. No confirmation and a lot of similarity to how the false rumor of Lil Wayne’s daughter was created in August.

That story rumor about Lil Wayne’s daughter did start on an Atlanta news station - a woman and her children were murdered and the news reported that the girl was his but they had to make a correction because it was actually Juvenille’s daughter (supposedly). Never heard more about it so it’s still not clear if even that story was true.

I received this text as well… and before I forwarded I got online to see if there was any validity to it.. of course there was not, so I sent a reply to the person that forwarded to me. I remember receiving a text like this about J Holiday one weekend a while back. I don’t know what people get out of doing this. God bless to all!

tiny point: I don’t think it’s that “a lot of people get texts at 4 A.M.” or “they got the text at 4 A.M. and are just now posting about it 12 hours later” - people are not necessarily *receiving* the texts at 4 A.M.; the text just says the crash *occurred* at 4 A.M.

It’s a sick and twisted rumor to spread about someone as cool and great as Mr. Williams. He’s a wonderful person from what I can see.
