PHOTO! Here’s a picture of Richard Cooey who has been executed. The execution of Richard Cooney was haulted after an appeal that he was too fat to be executed. But now this morning Richard Cooney, fat or not, was executed for two 1986 killings.

Cooey’s lawyers said he was too fat, at 5-foot-7 and 267 pounds, having been in prison since age 19, due to confinement for 23 hours a day.

“You haven’t paid attention to anything I’ve had to say for the past 22 years, so why would you think that I would think you’re going to pay attention to what I have to say now?”
