PICTURE! Here is a photo and video on William Bill Ayers of Weathermen who Sarah Palin calls a terrorist, the New York Times calls a bomber and links to Barack Obama. William Bill Ayers  was with Weathermen that bombed the Pentagon and United States Capitol and other government buildings.

On William Bill Ayers and Weathermen, the New York Times reported this weekend the following:

“Barack Obama met Mr. Ayers, by then an education professor. Their paths have crossed sporadically since then, at a coffee Mr. Ayers hosted for Mr. Obama’s first run for office, on the schools project and a charitable board, and in casual encounters as Hyde Park neighbors. Their relationship has become a touchstone for opponents of Mr. Obama, the Democratic senator, in his bid for the presidency. Video clips on YouTube, including a new advertisement that was broadcast on Friday, juxtapose Mr. Obama’s face with the young Mr. Ayers or grainy shots of the bombings.

“In a televised interview last spring, Senator John McCain, Mr. Obama’s Republican rival, asked, “How can you countenance someone who was engaged in bombings that could have or did kill innocent people?” “

But how significant were the bombings? Ayers reportedly claims in a 1991 book that the bombings were not much. 

“Although the bomb that rocked the Pentagon was itsy-bitsy - weighing close to two pounds - it caused ‘tens of thousands of dollars’ of damage. The operation cost under $500, and no one was killed or even hurt.”

“Itsy bitsy”?

Ayers was co founder of Weatherman and admits in his 2001 book Fugitive Days to bombing the New York City Police Headquarters in 1970, the United States Capitol building in 1971, and But were Obama and Ayers “friends?”

The Times reports Obama has downplayed their relationship “A review of records of the schools project and interviews with a dozen people who know both men, suggest that Mr. Obama, 47, has played down his contacts with Mr. Ayers”. However, “the two men do not appear to have been close.”

Sarah Palin said of Obama and Ayers today:

“And it turns out one of Barack’s earliest supporters is a man who according to the New York Times, and are they ever wrong, according to the New York Times was a domestic terrorist and part of a group of that, quote, pushed a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol,” Palin continued. “Wow. These are the same guys who think patriotism is paying higher taxes. This is not a man who sees America as I see America, OK?”
