Karen Dinkins has been fired from WWJ-AM 950 after wearing a Barack Obama t shirt. But Karen Dinkins didn’t just wear the Barack Obama t shirt anywhere - Dinkins wore the Obama shirt while covering a presidential rally on Sunday.

Dinkins is surprised by the firing after 13 years and says she has already received other job offers.

Dinkins said she wouldn’t comment at length but said: “I was really kind of surprised this is a news story,” she said “I didn’t anticipate it.”

While Dinkins reportedly wore the shirt while covering an event for WWJ-AM (950), a radio station, reports are unclear if radio listeners even knew the radio host was wearing the shirt in the first place. No comment by the station. Also no comment by the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists’ office.
