United Airlines is NOT going bankrupt. United Airlines false bankruptcy rumors hit this morning and the shares of UA fell 99.92% in just hours.

Horrible.

The shares of United Airlines lost the almost entire value this morning because of some internet rumors wrongly claiming that the airline (LALATE’s fav) was going back to bankruptcy. If you remember, UA was in bankruptcy for 3 years.

A spokeswoman for United Airlines says the report was “completely untrue.”

United is cutting costs, eliminating 7,000 positions. But it’s not going bankrupt.
