Michael Gargiulo has been charged with Ashley Ellerin’s murder within the hour. Pictures of Ashley Ellerin, Ashton Kutcher’s reported girlfriend at the time, can’t be located online. Do they exist? (More on that below.)

Garguilo was reportedly charged with two capital murders, one of which includes the 2001 death of Ashley, within the hour.

Michael Gargiulo, 32, is a Santa Monica air conditioner repairman. Back in July he was reportedly arrested for attempted murder in Santa Monica. But today “Gargiulo is now charged in the stabbing death of 22-year-old Ashley Ellerin, Kutcher’s former girlfriend, whose body was found in February 2001 in her Hollywood Hills home.”

Kutcher reportedly “at the time told LAPD detectives that he went to pick up the model-actress [Ashley Ellerin] for a post-Grammy Awards party, but she did not answer the door. A friend found her the next day in her rented home on Pinehurst Road, with multiple stab wounds, authorities said.”

Anthony Salerno, attorney for Gargillo, says his client entered a not guilty plea on the Ellerin matter.

“They have no direct evidence connecting him to these crimes,” Salerno said.

Earlier this summer, LALATE ran news of Gargiulo potentially facing today’s Ellerin charges.

Of note, a picture is circulating on websites with a girl in a denim jacket alongside Ashton.

LALATE research has revealed that the girl in the photo is an Ashley, but not Ashley Ellerin. Rather, it’s Ashley Scott. The picture was taken by Rolling Stone and identifies the woman as Ashley Scott.
