Pierre Colas DEAD

Pierre Colas is dead, but why? Nashville Police are investigating the death of Pierre Colas, a professor at Vanderbilt shot dead yesterday night. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced for Colas.
Colas was a Vanderbilt University Assistant Professor of Anthropology. Pierrewas shot dead and his sister from Switzerland injured. She is currently in critical but stable condition.
Pierre was in his home when the shooting happened. Not motive. No reported forced entry.
“We are profoundly shocked and saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague, Pierre,” Provost Richard McCarty said in an e-mail message to the campus. “Pierre was a talented young scholar who joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2006. In his relatively brief time at Vanderbilt, he earned the respect of his colleagues and students, and his absence will be profoundly felt. He was a kind and gentle person and a devoted colleague, mentor and friend.”
Colas was educated in Bonn and Cologne, Germany.
