Mattel Bratz VERDICT!
Mattel has won a reported $40 million verdict against Bratz doll in a lawsuit in which Mattel was seeking $1 billion. Mattel’s verdict for $40 million against Bratz just came down in Los Angeles.
Mattel’s verdict is substantially lower than the 1 billion dollars in damages Mattel sought, the amount that Bratz earned from from 2001 through June 30 of this year.
Bratz attorneys had aruged that Mattel should get only $30 million.
Update - Reuters is reporting $100 million while AP is reporting $40 million.
