Bratz Dolls Will Continue!

Bratz Dolls will continue to be sold uninterrupted said Bratz attorneys after Mattel lost its attempt at a $2 million verdict against Bratz today. Bratz has several wins in the verdict againstĀ Mattel today.
First, the jury reportedly found MGA was liable for copyright infringement but that the infringement was not willfull, awarding no punitive damages to Mattel. “Mattel had asked the jury to award about $2 billion plus punitive damages.” reports Reuters. What Mattel allegedly got was no punitive damages, no proof of willful infringement, $100 million damage award, and no stop in production or sales of Bratz.
MGA attorney Thomas Nolan said moments ago that “the verdict is “a clear message that (the jury) wants these parties to fight in the marketplace. We are disappointed that they awarded any damages, however, it is a rebuke to Mattel’s aggressive and overreaching tactics.” Nolan said MGA would continue to sell Bratz dolls and accessories.”
No comment by Mattel attorneys.
