I can remember growing up watching Bernie Mac in so many movies and just being in astonishment of how funny and talented this man was. He left such an impact on people whether it was someone who knew him personally or someone who felt they knew him (as myself). My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family!

When I discovered Bernie Mac had died that Saturday morning, I was crushed, and have been since. Bernie Mac was a wonderful comedian, father, and husband. My favorite segment of his was, “Milk and Cookiieess.” I’ll miss you Bernie, no one will ever take your place.

I am sending my condolences to the family of the late Bernie Mac. When I found out about the tragic, heartbreaking news, I felt as if he was a member of my family. For which, he was because I grew up listening to his funny antics, his movies, and television shows that he appeared. I am going to miss the master at work, he was truly one of the best comedians that I have ever encountered, and not only was he a comedian, he was a man who loved his family, and for that I have much respect for that. I will miss his gorgeous smile and most of all the way he dressed, he was definately a sharp dresser. He will go down in history as being one of the men among all men. May God bless the Mac family, his friends, and most of all the fans that loved him because we, too, loved him dearly.

I would just like to say my heart goes out to Mr. Mac’s family. I am a true fan and I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Bernie Mac in person behind stage in 1995 in Jackson Mississippi. I was able to speak with him, shake his hand and congratulate him on his sucess. I thank the Lord for allowing me to now look back at the pictures we took together. May God Bless Mr. Mac’s family.

This is such a great loss. Bernie Mac was as real as they come and his humor was just that “REAL”. I don’t know how his walk with God was but I pray he finds a home in heaven. Just because he used the lanuage he did, doesn’t mean he didn’t have a relationship with God. My prayers are with his family in their time of need. We (the public) feel it too.

i was fortune enough to have been as extra in the movie mr 3000 filmed in milwaukee. bernie was there at the venue and interacted with everyone that were there. he showed such a common personality not a celebrity that he could have. have seen all his shows , films and stand up comedy routine he will be missed. he has made us all better for his walk, talk, generousity and career. thank you GOD for giving us Mr Bernie Mac

the same night he dies I was enjoying a bernie Mac’s movie he was acting like a big bro who directs, instructs, advices and bringing joy to his lil’ brother who was to run election for the prsendancy of the USA and nobody would knows how much I lught I even was goin’ to give up dinner for the sake of that actor (gifted actor) am not going to tell you how he was because you all know him folk am giong to tell you how happy he would be if he embraced the Islamic religion and I guess now he knows… Allah may rest his soul.

I miss the mac man already. I did not know you personally but I did know about you as far as your career. When I got the news I had to sit down and take it in because the pain I feel right now is breathtaking. I will love you always and I will surely miss you on the television. I am your #1 and I have all of your movies, sitcoms, and comic acts on DVD. Bernie you brought laughter and humor into our lives for so long and you were truly a king of comedy. You were booked at some of the best night clubs around the country and aboard and raise the roof off nightly with you humor. Now your humor have reached the heavens and you have been called to perform the biggest gig ever that comes around once in a lifetime. You are headlining alongside other great performers before you ohh!!!.what a performance that is going to be.

To Ms. Rhonda and Je’Niece McCullough -
My sincere condolences to you two — my heart and my prayers go out to you during this very difficult time. Just hearing and reading about Mr. Mac’s and your your last days are so heartfelt. I apologize for intruding in on your last few hours/days with one of the top comedians in the world especially when you want to savor every last link that you had to Bernie Mac the man, husband father, and grandfather. I appreciate it a lot.Having to share your very private moments with all of us; please know that we (the public) all appreciate it. Last days with famiily should always be personal, but Mr. Mac was such a Comic Relief for so many of us. When I heard on the news that he was in the hospital, I too expected him to bounce right back on a set somewhere like Mr. Kutcher said he had done once before. But we’ll never know how each and every time he had an episode how much stress and strain that had paced on his human heart. I say this because I believe things happen for a reason. I believe God just called him home.
Unfortunately, because we never know when God is going to call us home, it usually takes us by surprise when it happens, but understand that when the Lord calls — We all have to go — no matter who we are or where we are at. This time was already predestined and foreordained by God. so with that, I am so sorry for your loss Ms. McCoullough. But Mr. Mac is in a better and more peaceful place at last!
Reading about Mr. Mac’s last trying ordeal was so very hard and somewhat personal, but I know and hope you enjoyed your life with Mr. Mac — he was like a King to all of us comedy-wise. I was even sorrier to hear about his bout with pneumonia and sarcoidosis, but know that he is in a better place now and he will be able to enjoy the retirement he talked so much about taking.
I really loved this man especially as a King of Comedy. This was truly his calling. I loved Mr. Mac for so much that he gave to people everywhere!
Although, I can’t remember exactly what I was doing at the time I heard the news, but the news was hard to hear. I was literally floored and felt the deepest loss — Bernie Mac? Did they just say Bernie Mac had died, I couldn’t believe some one so close to me in age had died so suddenly. If I had known Mr. Mac was sick I would have said sent a few prayers his way.
I wasn’t always appreciative of the profanity in his act, but I always knew that it was part of the act. I don’t know where his heart was spiritually, but I hope that he will be blessed for all the joy, compassion, and inspiration he shared with us over the years. He had an awesome career as a comedian.
One never know when we will get that call from the Lord up in Heaven, but when we do, we have to go. Life on earth will go on, but when our Lord calls us, we go. So as you remember with saddness your last few hours know there was an even greater plan and audition for Mr. Mac. His greatest audition yet in Heaven; but entertaining the King’s Court will be an honor for Mr. Mac. He was a good soldier for the Lord right down here on earth and it is my belief that God will surely bless him for all of his kidness, compassion shown to us here.
So know this Ms. Rhonda and Je’Neice, Mr. Mac touched so many, many people’s lives here on earth! Comedy just seemed to be his particular niche in life and he used it to entertain so many of us that at times — it won’t be the same now that he’s gone.
Mr. Mac you were an inspiration — and YOU brought so much laughter into our lives; you will be missed. I’ll miss him also. The Mac was a part of my family because he was a REAL COMEDIAN and his antics allowed me to get through life during some very difficult times of my own.
I understand that Mr. Mac was a great comedian, an even greater husband, father and grandfather. I didn’t know his faith but I know that God has a place for him in His Army in Heaven and I will hopefully hear the laughter when I get there as I did down here on earth.
Mr. Mac, although I did not know you personally I did know about you as far as your career goes. When I heard the news, I admit that I too had to sit down take it in because the pain I felt was like you were a member of my family.
I will love you always and will keep your family in my prayers. I will surely miss you on television and at the movies for many years to come. I am your #1 fan and will continue to keep your Spirit alive by watching all of your movies, sitcoms, and comic acts on DVD. I mourn the loss of you by laughing at all that you did. You will be remembered by all who knew you and will ever hear of you. I love you Mac man!

I was driving in my car on my way to the Stone Soul Picnic in DC and had to pull over to the side of road the day i heard Bernie Mac died. I was in shock, the funny thing is my daughter saw me crying and she started crying. He will truely be missed, But heaven will definately be funny with him there.

Rhonda the Metal Hill crew shares the loss of Bernie with you. He was definitely a great guy. And had a heart the size of Chicago. Not to mention funny as hell. Gonna miss him telling people he was gonna “buss yo head straight to the whitemeat”! He was definitely a KING of Comedy.

I was truly hurt to hear of Mr. Mac death when i am down and out i just put in my King of Comedy DVD and listen to him and it would brighten my day my prayer go out to the family and when ever you feel down just reach back and remember the good time and just know that he is looking down on you my God Bless.

Whenever the world of entertainment loses someone, it is heartbreaking. Bernie Mac was the type of comedian who made an impact on many lives. He touched so many people in different ways. Even though I did not know him personally, Bernie Mac was a great comedian. He will be missed, but know that God makes no mistakes, and everyone, at some point and time, will have to make the same journey that Bernie Mac did. My prayers go out to his family and those who loved him.

R.I.P Bernie Mac, you deserve everything that God put in your path. Lets be honest,you weren’t the most good looking comedian in the world, but you sure were the most respectful and truthful one. To all of your love ones, I am truely sorry, for all of the moments that you are going through right now, but you know that The Mac, will never leave your hearts. Wish I could have met you or at least seeing you live, Thank You for all of your hard work and thrive for comedy. You will remain as an urban legend, no man will ever come close to The Mac.
