Britney Spears shot with Russell Brand and an elephant the MTV VMA commercial for the 2008 awards show earlier this week.
The video was show here in Los Angeles on the Paramount backlot, location of the awards show. The commercial is ad lib, between show host Forgetting Sarah Marshall star Russell Brand, Britney Spears, and a 9,000 pound elephant, says new reports.

Will Brit perform on the show? No confirmation. LALATE hears chatter she has an offer open to perform go til 2 weeks before the show’s broadcast to accept.
