Freeman was driving Meyer’s car, 1997 Nissan Maxima, when it went off the road and reportedly flipped twice. LALATE has previously shown you those horrible crash photos.

Now today, AP reports ”Bill Rogers, a retired police officer who was the first person to arrive at the scene, said a dazed Freeman told him that he and Meyer were headed to his home in Charleston, a small town some 90 miles south of Memphis. “He said that she had offered him a ride home; that they were friends and she had offered him a ride home and she didn’t really know the way and so he was going to drive the vehicle” “

Meyer and Freeman were coming from Clarksdale, but not from his above mentioned club, Ground Zero Blues Club. Freeman also owns a restaurant named Madadi. No confirmation if the two were at Madadi.

Did Meyer go to the hospital? Initial reports said yes and she was released. Those reports now maybe wrong.

“Hospital officials say Meyer isn’t listed in the hospital’s registry.” But medical rules allow patients to not have their name listed in registries in hospitals.

But Meyer was in the hospital alongside friend Freeman “A Mississippi Highway Patrol officer said Meyer was in the Tennessee hospital when the agency called to see how she and Freeman were doing Monday night.”

Meyer’s condition is still uncertain. No statement has yet been given by Meyer.
