London and Co. is suing Courtney Love for approximately $1 million over her recent sale of the Nirvana music catalog. The business management and accounting firm claims Courtney Love orally contracted for them share in the sale of the Nirvana’s publishing catalog.
Love as heir and widow of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain sold the catalog recently for $19.5 million. The Los Angeles filed lawsuit claims London was promised 5%, roughly $975,000.
Cobain died in 1994. Love didn’t sell the entire catalog but just a portion for the whopping $19.5 million price tag. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles today with no comment being released by Love just yet.
Oral contract? This should be interesting. Do you think it was right she even sold part of the catalog in the first place?
