UPDATE: Former LA Laker Dennis Rodman pleaded no contest to misdemeanor spousal battery late yesterday surrounding actions towards his girlfriend Gina Peterson. (Yes, apparently the statute “spousal battery” applies to girlfriends.)

Rodman will serve time in counseling and perform highway or other physical labor. Two other counts were dropped as part of the settlement.

Rodman got 1 year Domestic violence counseling, 3 years probation, and 45 days physical labor. The labor will reportedly be done in Florida where Rodman currently lives.
