Panda Pounds Sandler!
The U.S. boxoffice went “Bear Style” on Adam Sandler as moviegoers last weekend went Kung Fu fighting to see Kung Fu Panda.LALATE has predicted Kung Fu Panda led by Jack Black for Dreamworks to be a huge hit, and it was, pounding in $60 million to Sandler’s (still strong) $40 million second pace finish.
Warner Bros “Sex and the City,” suffered a 63% drop in the boxoffice but still pulled in $100 million in only 10 days. Indiana Jones from Paramount held at 3 with $22.8 million, bringing it $253 million domestically its first three weeks.
